Teriyaki Grilled Shrimp
Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions, for garnish
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of honey, 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to make the teriyaki marinade.
- Place the peeled and deveined shrimp in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, and pour the teriyaki marinade over the shrimp. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, if using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
- Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook the shrimp as they can become rubbery.
- Remove the shrimp from the grill and place them on a serving platter. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot and enjoy!
