Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add 1 lb of ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of taco seasoning to the cooked ground beef and stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  • On a large baking sheet, spread out 1 bag of tortilla chips in an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the seasoned ground beef evenly over the tortilla chips.
  • Top with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle 1/2 cup diced tomatoes, 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos, and 1/4 cup chopped green onions over the melted cheese.
  • Drizzle 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of salsa over the nachos.
