Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 lb of beef, thinly sliced
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 4 cups of cooked rice
- 1 French baguette
- 1/2 cup of butter, softened
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the coconut milk, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, minced garlic, ground coriander, ground cumin, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the chopped parsley and continue to cook for another minute. Remove from heat.
- Slice the French baguette into 1-inch thick slices. Spread the garlic butter mixture onto each slice.
- Place the garlic bread slices on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve the sated over cooked rice with the garlic bread on the side. Enjoy!
