Ingredients
- 2 cups of chickpeas, boiled
- 2 cups of potatoes, boiled and diced
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup of tamarind chutney
- 1/2 cup of mint-coriander chutney
- 1 cup of papri (crispy fried dough wafers)
- 1/2 cup of red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup of fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1 teaspoon of chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon of roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup of sev (crispy chickpea noodles)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of boiled chickpeas and 2 cups of boiled and diced potatoes.
- Add 1 teaspoon of chaat masala, 1 teaspoon of roasted cumin powder, 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well to coat the chickpeas and potatoes with the spices.
- In a separate bowl, whisk 1 cup of plain yogurt until smooth. Set aside.
- Arrange the papri (crispy fried dough wafers) on a serving plate.
- Spoon the spiced chickpeas and potatoes over the papri.
- Drizzle the plain yogurt, tamarind chutney, and mint-coriander chutney over the chickpeas and potatoes.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of finely chopped red onion and 1/2 cup of fresh coriander leaves over the chaat.
- Finish by topping with 1/4 cup of sev (crispy chickpea noodles).
- Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious Papri Chaat!
