Instructions

  • Divide the pizza dough into 6 equal portions and roll each portion into a 6-inch circle.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place 2-3 tablespoons of the cheese mixture on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edge.
  • Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and press the edges firmly to seal.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 inches of vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).
  • Carefully add the panzerotti to the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the panzerotti from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
