Mexican

Nachos, a beloved Tex-Mex dish, have a fascinating history. Legend has it that Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya, a maître d' at a restaurant in Piedras Negras, Mexico, created the dish in 1943. With the restaurant's chef absent, Anaya improvised by topping fried tortilla chips with cheese and jalapeños. The dish was an instant hit and soon spread across the border to Texas. Today, the best nachos can be found in San Antonio, Texas, where chefs take pride in using high-quality ingredients like freshly made tortilla chips, gooey melted cheese, flavorful seasoned meats, and zesty toppings. The key to perfect nachos lies in the balance of flavors and textures, so don't skimp on the toppings!
