Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix the ground turkey with 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder. Form into 4 patties.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 15 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and cook the turkey patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and allow it to melt.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of mayonnaise with 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard.
  • To assemble the burgers, spread the Dijon-mayo mixture on the bottom half of each pretzel bun. Top with a turkey patty, caramelized onions, lettuce, and a tomato slice. Place the top half of the pretzel bun on top.
