Savory Cheese and Herb Kugel

Ingredients
- 8 ounces wide egg noodles
- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together 2 cups of cottage cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley, 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh dill, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Add the cooked egg noodles to the cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
- Transfer the noodle mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs and 2 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture over the top of the kugel.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the kugel is set.
- Allow the kugel to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
