Ingredients
- 4 sheets of nori (seaweed)
- 2 cups of sushi rice, cooked
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1/2 English cucumber, julienned
- Soy sauce, for serving
- Wasabi, for serving
- Pickled ginger, for serving
Instructions
- Place a sheet of nori on a clean, dry surface, shiny side down.
- Moisten your hands with water to prevent the rice from sticking, then place 1/2 cup of sushi rice on the nori and spread it evenly, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Place a few slices of avocado and a handful of julienned cucumber in the center of the rice.
- Roll the nori from the bottom, using a bamboo mat or your hands to shape it into a cone.
- Moisten the top border of the nori with a little water to seal the hand roll.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4 hand rolls.
- Serve the hand rolls with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger on the side.
