Instructions

  • Place a sheet of nori on a clean, dry surface, shiny side down.
  • Moisten your hands with water to prevent the rice from sticking, then place 1/2 cup of sushi rice on the nori and spread it evenly, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
  • Place a few slices of avocado and a handful of julienned cucumber in the center of the rice.
  • Roll the nori from the bottom, using a bamboo mat or your hands to shape it into a cone.
  • Moisten the top border of the nori with a little water to seal the hand roll.
  • Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make 4 hand rolls.
  • Serve the hand rolls with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger on the side.
