Ingredients
- 1 ciabatta bread loaf
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the ciabatta bread loaf in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 cloves of minced garlic, and 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano. Brush the mixture evenly over the cut sides of the ciabatta bread.
- Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the bread halves.
- Arrange the sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown around the edges.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve warm. Enjoy!
