Instructions

  • In a bowl, marinate the beef with 1 tbsp fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the lemongrass and garlic, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  • In the same wok, heat the remaining 1 tbsp of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the onion and bell pepper, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.
  • Return the beef to the wok, add the remaining 1 tbsp of fish sauce, and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve hot with steamed rice.
