Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- 4 metal or wooden skewers
Instructions
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- In a large bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of cajun seasoning, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the cajun seasoning mixture.
- Thread the shrimp onto the skewers, dividing evenly among the 4 skewers.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using a grill pan, heat it over medium-high heat on the stovetop.
- Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Remove the shrimp skewers from the grill and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
