Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together 1 cup of ground pork, 1 cup of chopped kimchi, 1/2 cup of chopped green onions, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of Korean red pepper flakes.
  • Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half, pressing to seal.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the dumplings in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.
  • Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover with a lid. Steam the dumplings for 5-7 minutes until the filling is cooked through.
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar and 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds.
  • Remove the lid from the skillet and continue cooking until all the water has evaporated and the bottoms of the dumplings are crispy again.
  • Drizzle the dumplings with the rice vinegar and sesame seed mixture before serving.
