Ingredients
- 8 oz of Chinese wheat noodles
- 1/2 cup of Zhajiangmian sauce
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup of diced carrots
- 1/2 cup of diced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup of diced zucchini
- 1/2 cup of diced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup of diced green onions
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1/4 cup of water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Chinese wheat noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced carrots, bell peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the Zhajiangmian sauce, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and water. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine with the vegetable and sauce mixture. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and sprinkle with diced green onions before serving.
