Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp tequila
- 2 limes, juiced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the tequila, lime juice, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or in the microwave.
- To assemble the tacos, divide the shrimp among the tortillas. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro. Drizzle with sour cream and serve with lime wedges.
