Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of water. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the cubed tofu to the skillet and stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed, then add the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until they start to soften.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
  • Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the sauce over the tofu, mushrooms, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the stir-fried tofu, mushrooms, and broccoli over cooked rice. Enjoy!
