Mediterranean

The Spinach and Feta Frittata has a rich history dating back to ancient Greece, where feta cheese was a staple ingredient. This Mediterranean dish gained popularity in the United States in the 20th century, thanks to the growing interest in Mediterranean cuisine. Renowned chefs like Yotam Ottolenghi and Ina Garten have popularized this dish, infusing it with their own unique twists. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in Mediterranean-inspired restaurants, particularly in regions with a strong Greek or Italian culinary influence. The key to a perfect Spinach and Feta Frittata lies in using fresh spinach, high-quality feta cheese, and the right blend of herbs and spices. For a delicious alternative, consider adding sun-dried tomatoes or Kalamata olives for an extra burst of flavor.
