Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon horseradish
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup diced cucumber
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 4 slices of lime, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque. Drain and transfer to a bowl of ice water to cool. Once cooled, drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of tequila, 1/4 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of hot sauce, 1 tablespoon of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lime juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Add the diced cucumber, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro to the tequila cocktail sauce. Mix well.
- Divide the cocktail sauce mixture into 4 martini glasses.
- Arrange the cooked shrimp on the rim of the martini glasses.
- Garnish each glass with a slice of lime and serve immediately.
