  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 lb ground pork sausage, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, 1/4 cup chopped jalapenos, 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp paprika, and 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper.
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 6 equal squares.
  • Place a generous spoonful of the sausage mixture onto each pastry square, then fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal.
  • Place the sausage rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush the tops with beaten egg, and sprinkle with a little extra paprika for color.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.
  • Allow the sausage rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
