Spicy Sausage Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 lb spicy pork sausage
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 lb spicy pork sausage, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper, 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 6 equal squares.
- Divide the sausage mixture into 12 portions and shape each portion into a log. Place a log onto each pastry square.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the sausage and press the edges to seal. Place the rolls seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
