  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 1 cup julienned daikon radish

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 pound of ground pork, 2 cups of finely chopped Napa cabbage, 3 finely chopped green onions, 2 minced cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, 1 teaspoon of grated fresh ginger, 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix well.
  • Place a small spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of a dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water and fold the wrapper in half, pressing to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and pork mixture.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of rice vinegar, 1/4 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of salt until the sugar and salt are dissolved. Add 1 cup of julienned carrots and 1 cup of julienned daikon radish. Let the vegetables sit in the pickling liquid for at least 15 minutes.
