Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 oz each) of black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup of salsa
- 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup of chopped red onion
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1/4 cup of sour cream (optional, for topping)
- 1/4 cup of sliced green onions (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine 2 cans of black beans, 1/2 cup of salsa, 1/4 cup of cilantro, 1/4 cup of red onion, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 teaspoon of cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and the juice of 1 lime.
- Pulse until the mixture is smooth and well combined, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and top with 1/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of sliced green onions, if desired.
- Serve with tortilla chips or vegetable sticks.
