Sourdough discard waffles have a rich history rooted in resourcefulness and sustainability. Originating from the practice of using leftover sourdough starter, this dish has gained popularity for its delicious flavor and fluffy texture. Chefs and home cooks alike have embraced this recipe, turning what would have been discarded into a delectable breakfast treat. The Pacific Northwest, known for its love of artisanal bread and sustainable cooking, has been a hub for the resurgence of sourdough discard waffles.
