Smoked salmon and avocado toast has become a beloved brunch staple, marrying the rich, buttery texture of avocado with the smoky, savory flavor of salmon. This dish has its roots in the vibrant culinary scene of coastal regions, where fresh seafood and ripe avocados abound. Chefs like Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson have popularized this dish, elevating it from a simple snack to a gourmet delight. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in trendy cafes and restaurants in cities like New York, London, and Sydney. The key to a perfect smoked salmon and avocado toast lies in using high-quality, thinly sliced smoked salmon and perfectly ripe avocados. For a twist, some chefs add a sprinkle of chili flakes or a drizzle of balsamic glaze for an extra kick of flavor.
