Ingredients
- 1 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup of chopped water chestnuts
- 1 head of butter lettuce, leaves separated
- 1/4 cup of chopped peanuts
- 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Pour the sauce over the shrimp in the skillet and toss to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the chopped green onions and water chestnuts.
- Spoon the shrimp mixture into the lettuce leaves, and top with chopped peanuts and cilantro.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
