  • 1 pound of asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
  • Add the shrimp to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan.
  • Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add the asparagus to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  • Return the shrimp to the pan and pour the soy sauce mixture over the shrimp and asparagus.
  • Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the shrimp and asparagus.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve the shrimp and asparagus stir-fry over cooked rice and enjoy!
