Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and 1/4 cup of water. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic and 1 teaspoon of grated ginger, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add 2 cups of broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Pour the soy sauce mixture into the skillet with the broccoli. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the broccoli, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  • Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds over the tofu and broccoli.
