Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and pressed
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of sesame oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of sriracha sauce
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and toss them in 2 tablespoons of cornstarch until evenly coated.
- In a large non-stick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook for 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until all sides are golden and crispy. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, and 2 tablespoons of honey to the skillet. Stir to combine and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the tofu through.
- In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of sriracha sauce with 1 tablespoon of water to create the spicy sriracha sauce.
- Serve the sesame ginger tofu over cooked rice, drizzle with the spicy sriracha sauce, and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
