Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine 1 lb of finely chopped tuna, 2 finely chopped green onions, 2 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of sesame oil, 1 tbsp of grated fresh ginger, 1/4 cup of panko breadcrumbs, and 1 beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Form the tuna mixture into 4 patties and place them on a plate. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to firm up.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of mayonnaise with 1 tbsp of sriracha sauce to make the spicy sriracha mayo. Set aside.
  • Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the tuna burgers for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  • Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Assemble the burgers by spreading a generous amount of spicy sriracha mayo on the bottom half of each bun. Place a tuna patty on top, followed by lettuce and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
