Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1/4 cup water. Set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Stir in 3 cloves of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add 2 cups of trimmed snow peas to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are bright green and crisp-tender.
  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet and pour the prepared sauce over the beef and snow peas. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and snow peas.
  • Remove from heat and transfer the sesame ginger beef and snow peas to a serving dish. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds for garnish.
