Ingredients
- 1 cup of dried white beans
- 4 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of ginger powder
- 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
Instructions
- Rinse 1 cup of dried white beans under cold water and place them in a large pot.
- Add 4 cups of water to the pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the beans are tender.
- Drain the beans and transfer them to a bowl.
- Add 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1 teaspoon of ginger powder to the bowl with the beans. Mix well to combine.
- Heat 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the seasoned beans to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are heated through and slightly crispy.
- Remove from the heat and let the senzu beans cool for a few minutes before serving.
