Spicy Sausage Rolls

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork sausage
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno peppers
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together 1 lb of ground pork sausage, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup chopped onion, 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno peppers, 1 tsp paprika, and 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut each sheet into 6 equal squares.
- Place a generous spoonful of the sausage mixture along the center of each pastry square.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the sausage mixture and press the edges to seal.
- Place the sausage rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, seam side down.
- Brush the tops of the sausage rolls with the remaining beaten egg.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.
- Allow the sausage rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the spicy kick!
