  • Pour in the chicken broth and add the dried green lentils, diced carrots, diced celery, dried thyme, and bay leaf. Bring the soup to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes, or until the lentils are tender.
  • Stir in the chopped kale and continue to simmer for an additional 10 minutes, until the kale is wilted and tender.
  • Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste, then remove the bay leaf before serving.
