Ravioli, a beloved Italian pasta dish, has a rich history dating back to the 14th century. This delectable dish consists of pasta dough filled with a variety of ingredients, such as ricotta cheese, spinach, and herbs. The addition of extra cheese takes this classic dish to a whole new level of indulgence. Renowned chefs in regions like Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy have perfected the art of making ravioli, using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The key to exceptional ravioli lies in the quality of the cheese filling and the delicate pasta dough. For an alternative twist, some chefs incorporate a blend of different cheeses, such as Parmesan, mozzarella, and fontina, to create a symphony of flavors. Today, the best ravioli can be savored in authentic Italian trattorias and fine dining restaurants across Italy. Whether served in a luscious tomato sauce or a velvety brown butter and sage, ravioli with extra cheese is a true culinary delight that continues to captivate food enthusiasts worldwide.
