Ingredients
- 2 lbs of sausage links
- 6 jalapenos, sliced
- 2 cups of white vinegar
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of salt
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 6 sterilized glass jars with lids
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, and minced garlic to a boil. Stir until the sugar and salt are fully dissolved.
- Add the sausage links and jalapeno slices to the pot. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Using tongs, carefully transfer the sausage links and jalapenos into the sterilized glass jars, distributing them evenly.
- Pour the hot pickling liquid over the sausage and jalapenos in the jars, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top. Make sure the sausage and jalapenos are fully submerged in the liquid.
- Seal the jars with the lids and let them cool to room temperature on the counter.
- Once cooled, refrigerate the pickled sausage for at least 24 hours before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
