Created by: Howcan Team
Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a 6-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce on one half of each dough circle, leaving a small border around the edge.
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese over the marinara sauce on each dough circle.
- Arrange the pepperoni slices over the cheese on each dough circle.
- Fold the dough over the filling to create a half-moon shape and press the edges firmly to seal.
- Transfer the calzones to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Brush the tops of the calzones with the Parmesan mixture.
- Use a sharp knife to make a few small slits in the top of each calzone to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the calzones are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Allow the calzones to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
