Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
- Cut a pocket into each chicken breast, being careful not to cut all the way through.
- Stuff each chicken breast with the cheese mixture, dividing it evenly among the 4 breasts.
- Secure the openings with toothpicks to hold the cheese inside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the toothpicks before serving.
