Mongolian BBQ has a rich history dating back to the time of Genghis Khan, where warriors would cook their meals on their shields over open flames. This tradition evolved into the modern Mongolian BBQ, a stir-fry dish cooked on a large, flat griddle. The dish gained popularity in Taiwan in the 1950s before spreading to other parts of the world. Today, the best Mongolian BBQ can be found in Taiwan, where chefs skillfully prepare the dish with a variety of meats, vegetables, and sauces. The key to a great Mongolian BBQ lies in the quality and freshness of the ingredients, as well as the skillful use of the grill to impart a smoky flavor.
