Ingredients
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- Whipped cream and cinnamon sticks for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat 2 cups of milk over medium heat until it starts to steam but not boil.
- Add 2 ounces of chopped dark chocolate, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the saucepan.
- Whisk the mixture constantly until the chocolate is melted and the ingredients are well combined.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
