Mediterranean

The Mediterranean Chicken and Couscous Bowl is a vibrant and flavorful dish that brings together the diverse culinary influences of the Mediterranean region. This dish typically features tender grilled chicken marinated in a blend of olive oil, lemon, and Mediterranean herbs, served alongside fluffy couscous and an array of fresh vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, and bell peppers. The dish is often finished with a dollop of creamy tzatziki sauce and a sprinkle of crumbled feta cheese for a burst of tangy flavor. Renowned chefs like Yotam Ottolenghi have popularized this dish, infusing it with their own unique twists. For the best version of this dish, head to the coastal regions of Greece or Turkey, where the freshest ingredients elevate the flavors to new heights. The key to nailing this dish lies in the marination of the chicken and the quality of the olive oil used. For a vegetarian alternative, grilled eggplant or falafel can be substituted for the chicken, offering a delightful variation of flavors and textures. Whether enjoyed at a bustling Mediterranean bistro or prepared at home, the Mediterranean Chicken and Couscous Bowl is a celebration of the sun-drenched flavors of the Mediterranean.
