Ingredients
- 14 oz firm tofu, drained and cut into cubes
- 2 stalks lemongrass, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 red chili, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chopped lemongrass, minced garlic, chopped onion, and sliced red chili.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the lemongrass mixture to the pan and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the tofu cubes to the pan and gently stir to coat them with the lemongrass mixture.
- Pour in the soy sauce and sprinkle with sugar. Season with salt to taste.
- Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tofu is heated through and slightly golden.
- Remove from heat and transfer the Lemongrass Tofu to a serving dish.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
