The Maryland Crab Feast is a beloved tradition that dates back to the 19th century, where families and friends gather to feast on steamed blue crabs caught from the Chesapeake Bay. The crabs are seasoned with Old Bay seasoning, a blend of herbs and spices that adds a unique flavor. The garlic butter dipping sauce is a modern twist, adding a rich and savory element to the meal. Many renowned chefs and restaurants in Maryland, such as Jimmy Cantler's Riverside Inn and The Crab Claw, are famous for their expertly prepared crab feasts. The key to a perfect Maryland Crab Feast lies in the freshness of the crabs and the balance of flavors in the seasoning and dipping sauce. For the best experience, head to Maryland's waterfront restaurants or seafood markets to savor this iconic dish.
