Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 packet of active dry yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup of pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, 1/4 cup of sugar, yeast, and salt.
  • In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of water, and 1/4 cup of butter until warm (120-130°F). Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and beat just until moistened. Add the eggs and beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • Punch the dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide into 36 pieces. In a small bowl, combine the pecans, maple syrup, brown sugar, and melted butter. Dip each piece in the pecan mixture, then layer in a greased 10-in. fluted tube pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate. Serve warm and enjoy!
