The history of the Low-Carb Wrap with tofu dates back to the rise of low-carb diets and the increasing popularity of plant-based alternatives. This innovative twist on the classic wrap was born out of the desire to cater to vegetarians and vegans, offering a protein-packed, low-carb option. Renowned chefs in health-conscious regions like California and New York City played a pivotal role in experimenting with tofu as a substitute for chicken, infusing it with flavorful marinades and seasonings. Today, the best versions of this dish can be found in trendy, health-focused eateries that prioritize fresh, organic ingredients. Perfecting the tofu marinade and achieving the ideal texture are crucial elements in creating a delicious Low-Carb Wrap with tofu. Alternatively, some chefs opt for grilling or pan-searing the tofu to enhance its taste and provide a satisfying, meaty texture.
