- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 8 ounces linguine pasta, cooked al dente
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Lemon Garlic Shrimp Scampi is a classic Italian-American dish that has been enjoyed for generations. The dish originated in the coastal regions of Italy, where fresh seafood is abundant. It is believed that Italian immigrants brought the recipe to the United States, where it gained popularity and evolved over time. The addition of red pepper flakes for extra heat adds a spicy kick to the traditional dish, elevating its flavor profile and making it a favorite among those who enjoy a bit of heat in their meals. Chefs and home cooks alike have put their own spin on this dish, with some adding red pepper flakes for an extra kick. The dish is typically made by sautéing shrimp in a mixture of olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and white wine, then tossing it with al dente pasta. One famous alternative method for making this dish is to serve the shrimp scampi over a bed of creamy risotto, which adds a luxurious twist to the classic recipe. Today, the best version of this dish can be found in Italian restaurants that prioritize using fresh, high-quality ingredients. The key to getting this dish right lies in the balance of flavors - the tangy lemon, pungent garlic, and spicy red pepper flakes should complement the sweet, succulent shrimp without overpowering it.
