Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • In a shallow dish, combine 1/4 cup of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
  • Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and the chicken to absorb the flavors.
  • While the chicken is simmering, cook 8 oz of angel hair pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • To serve, place a portion of angel hair pasta on each plate, top with a lemon garlic chicken breast, and spoon the sauce over the chicken and pasta.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Lemon garlic chicken with angel hair pasta is a classic Italian dish that combines tender chicken, zesty lemon, and savory garlic with delicate angel hair pasta. This dish has its roots in the sunny regions of Italy, where fresh ingredients are abundant and flavors are bold. Renowned chefs like Lidia Bastianich and Giada De Laurentiis have popularized their own versions of this dish, adding their unique twists to the traditional recipe. The key to a perfect lemon garlic chicken with angel hair pasta lies in the balance of flavors and the use of high-quality ingredients. For the best version of this dish, head to authentic Italian restaurants known for their expertise in pasta dishes. The most important elements to get right are the tenderness of the chicken, the brightness of the lemon, and the al dente texture of the angel hair pasta. For a twist on the classic recipe, consider adding a splash of white wine or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
