Ingredients
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tablespoon grated ginger, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil and stir-fry 4 cups of broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve over cooked rice. Enjoy!
