Instructions

  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add the diced potatoes. Cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • While the potatoes are cooking, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage links and cook until browned and cooked through, about 12-15 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the cooked potatoes to the skillet and mash them with a potato masher. Pour in the heavy cream and remaining 2 tbsp of butter. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chicken broth. Continue mashing and stirring until the potatoes are creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Slice the cooked Italian sausage links and serve them on top of the creamy mashed potatoes. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
