Created by: Howcan Team

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 cup honey, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sesame oil, 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  • Place the chicken breasts in a resealable plastic bag and pour half of the honey soy mixture over the chicken. Seal the bag and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
  • Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the used marinade.
  • Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • While the chicken is grilling, pour the remaining honey soy mixture into a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, brush the honey soy glaze over the chicken and continue to grill for an additional 1-2 minutes on each side, allowing the glaze to caramelize.
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
