Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cubed
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup of broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup of snow peas
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds, for garnish
- 2 green onions, sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, toss 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with the cubed tofu until evenly coated.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the coated tofu and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tofu from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced red and yellow bell peppers, broccoli florets, and snow peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Add 3 cloves of minced garlic to the vegetables and stir-fry for an additional 1 minute.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of honey, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of water. Pour the sauce over the vegetables in the skillet.
- Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and toss everything together until the tofu and vegetables are coated in the sauce.
- Garnish the stir-fry with 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds and 2 sliced green onions.
